Join artist and educator Samira Mian for Patterns & Pastries, a relaxed and sociable creative evening at iconic Lisboa Patisserie in West London. Choose from a selection of beautiful Islamic geometric pattern templates and spend the evening exploring colour and painting while enjoying Portuguese pastries and a drink. With demonstrations, creative tips and guidance from Samira throughout, you’ll bring your chosen pattern to life and create your own artwork to take home. No drawing or painting experience is needed – everything is provided, so simply come along, get creative and enjoy an evening of patterns, pastries and good company.

SCHEDULE
6:30–6:50 — Arrive, drink & pastry
Relaxed arrival, people meet each other, choose seats.
6:50–7:15 — Pattern story + demonstration
Introduce pattern, its geometry/cultural context and demo.
7:15–8:30 — Draw / paint / create
The main social making period.
8:30–8:50 — Finish + informal sharing
People finish their pieces; photos and conversation.
8:50–9:00 — mini gallery + close

If more than 14 days in advance of the workshop: A 97%* refund or transfer to an equivalent workshop on an alternative date.
If 7 to 14 days in advance of the workshop: I can transfer your place to an equivalent workshop on an alternative date.
Less than 7 days in advance of the workshop: I’m afraid I am unable to offer a refund nor transfer to an equivalent workshop on an alternative date. I appreciate that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean that you can’t attend, so please do consider sending along a friend to take your place. I would need their name and contact details prior to the workshop.
