Islamic Geometry workshops return to Harrow Arts Centre in 2024. Why not make use of the the multi-buy options from the drop down menu? 3 sessions or places at a discounted price of £22 per workshop, £66. ​Once booked we can then allocate the places to available workshop dates via email. Book for yourself or come with a friend or two to share your multibuy workshop places. There is no expiry date on using up your dates either.
All resources & materials are provided, all are welcome, no experience is needed, age 14+. Maximum capacity 14.

Each session you will learn to construct a different Islamic Geometric pattern. Starting with a plain piece of paper, step by step we will draw layers of lines and circles using a compass and straight edge. From this underlying grid a pattern will emerge. We will outline, trace and transfer the pattern to watercolour paper, to be decorated using watercolour pencils & paints.
Monthly workshops allow you to work on your patterns further at home at an entirely leisurely pace. A step by step PDF guide is emailed to you ahead of your workshop to accompany all patterns taught at the workshop as well as allow you to reconstruct the pattern at home. The patterns can offten be painted again and again trying out different colour schemes and materials. If your're not sure which resources to use at home, you get a chance to use them in the workshop. I also have a list of recommendations you can check out.

If more than 14 days in advance of the workshop: A 97%* refund or transfer to an equivalent workshop on an alternative date.
If 7 to 14 days in advance of the workshop: I can transfer your place to an equivalent workshop on an alternative date.
Less than 7 days in advance of the workshop: I’m afraid I am unable to offer a refund nor transfer to an equivalent workshop on an alternative date. I appreciate that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean that you can’t attend, so please do consider sending along a friend to take your place. I would need their name and contact details prior to the workshop.

BY TRAIN: London Overground Trains run directly from London Euston to Hatch End in 40 minutes, and the line directly links to Willesden Junction and Watford Junction. Easily accessible by car and is a 5 minute walk from Hatch End Overground Station.

PARKING: There is free level parking for 90 cars behind Harrow Arts Centre. Free overflow parking is available at the adjacent Morrisons car park.

BY UNDERGROUND: The nearest London Underground stations are Harrow on the Hill or Pinner (Metropolitan Line), Harrow & Wealdstone (Bakerloo Line), Stanmore (Jubilee Line)

BY BUS: The H14 and H12 stop directly outside Harrow Arts Centre. The 182 stops at Oxhey Lane, a 4 minute walk away.

The workshops will take place inthe Art Block, a separate building to the main building. It's to your right as you walk or drive in to Harrow Arts Centre. The Turner room is on the ground floor of the Art Building:
